The Plaza

mtrotter1

And it is like rains in the fields, my laughter scorns

And my heart fills the trenches

If justice rings, I shall ring the bell

Tornadoes come and go

Yet storms are forever

Behold the whiskey bottle in its highest altitude

Lying here beside the rose on my bed

I see pain in death

But only in my imagination

The wait on my wealth is determined

I see the weariness in your widow

The breast of the heart beats entirely

Oh Las Vegas...the most dangerous place

Are you desperate to be exposed?

For your naked secrets aren't safe with me

I want to expose them all

When we love, do we love hard?

In a rainbow of suspicion I am fair

The casualties of being human

Is not utter tradition

For we are all safe in our lies...

Lies that can be captivated

In the eyes of a stranger

Let the rose bleed her tears unto thee,

For thee has the sweetest smell

For the smell of lies are contagious

And the death of eternity

Falls on this city

Immortal beings are at stake

From one youth to another,

Are you ready to die?

For the only death is revealing

Twas the woman in the white chariot

That died this Sunday;

For Sunday is a disturbing day

Oh capture a rose that has no garden

For we are all safe in our lies.
