SLAY ON YOUR KNEES

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke

Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.

While you slay in the 'oza' room,
Slay on your knees,
Change will creep in;
When circumstances visit.

Slay on your knees,
Every night,
Hold him ransom in prayers,
While he sleeps and snows,
Lay hands on him.

Daily, he's tempted at work,
By daughters of Jezebel
Trying to charm his attention,
With smile and nyash.

Birthing has reshape
the woman in you,
Keep fit to keep him,
If possible dress to kill him.

Men are charmed,
By what they see,
Easily consumed,
By the lust of their hearts.

Slaying on your knees
And 'oza' room,
The keys of happy home,
Never let another skirt,
Make your husband her slave.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem reflects on marriage and relationship. Men tend to cheat when there's no peace in marriage. Though on daily basis, these men are tempted to cheat, but their wives prayers keep them in check.
