This world can

Paint your powers black

On the account of their

Severe lack

Of what you have

What they want and don’t

Desires and fears

They can’t truly hold

But you will be told

What you are and not

As they choose the tools

To shape your picture

Expecting you’ll sit back

And allow that mixture

Of resentment and envy

We can’t stop them now can we?
