Nuclear War

Bishop M.

Thinking of what I thought was meant to be

I survived the blast but will I survive the fallout

Trying to scavenge through the debris

No one replies when I call out

I must be alone in this waste land

How much of this will I withstand

The poison in the air that still lingers

That will kill you even if its in your fingers

Spreads faster than the black plague

Why is it so infectious, it's a mystery, even vague

1700 dead every day, sometimes more

This isn't about nuclear war.

The black plague killed between 30-50% of Europeans. Between 75 and 200 million.
Kind of puts it in perspective.

Yes, but this has been going on for a lot longer than 5 years. Throughout time I think it may be fair to assume it'd be more than 200 million
