Tune: Adoration

('Arise my soul, arise')

Amos 9 v.11-15 (Old Testament)

********

The Lord He will up raise

It shall come in His days

David's tabernacle

Restore dynasty all

Will close the gaps, his house repair

And they shall again gather there

That they may sure possess

Lands of heathen, no less

Such as Edom, they be

Called by the Lord's name, see

The Lord He will act and this do

His people be reclaimed anew

The days shall come when they

Who plough, it be the way

They then shall overtake

The reapers, and peace make

Shall outdo those who do grapes tread

And those who sow seed, daily bread

The mounts and hills shall flow

With sweet wine, all shall know

The goodness of the Lord

According to His word

He will sure bring back the captives

Of His people Israel, each lives

They shall build the cities

That were waste, liberties

They shall know, and shall dwell

There, the Lord's mercies tell

And too plant vineyards, drink the wine

Blessed with presence of grace divine

And too shall gardens grow

Planting, fruitfulness so

For the Lord He will plant

They shall sing to Him, chant

No more from their land they be moved

The Lord's word true, it shall be proved
