Love You So

Maplespal

Oh! how I love you so.

To the darkness I often go.

So, the blindless can help me find

all the memories I left behind,

and all the images I use to see

when your light shined bright on me.

To the darkness where the shadows rest

and where the echoing notes build their nest.

Where your presence lingers distantly near,

Its where my consciousness hides my fear.

I feel those hands and that gentle breeze

as they let my essence dissipate with ease.

Oh! how I love you so.

Down the ridge I would like us to go

and follow the memories as they pass us by.

They’ll take us to where a moment is left to die.

To where the numbness holds my fear

of this surrounding emptiness without you near.

The ridge where the wounds and scars remain

an everlasting fuel for my pain.

With a thick and steady flow

they are a consistent reminder of what I know.

I sit alone watching the view I hold,

I’m watching it through a reflections fold.

Oh! how I love you so.

I want to feel that sensation I use to know.

That tantalized a life that is now past

and held that belief it would always last.

Yet I sit and watch you fade away

and walk that lonely range each day.

There is one true thing I will always know.

Oh! how I love you so.
