It Can Only Get Better

How did we this far?

(sigh) By now, I don't think there is an answer for that.

Thankfully, I believe there is a silver lining,

We, this country, America, has hit rock bottom.

This may not seem like a good thing,

but one realizes two things when they hit rock bottom.

They cannot sink any lower,

and they can now only move up.

It will be a hard climb,

out of the pit.

America has dropped the ball.

ALOT...

As the saying goes,

'We shot ourselves in the foot',

'It's coming back to bite us',

Yadda, Yadda, Yadda

Thankfully, it can only get better.

We have fallen as far as we can go.

We have reached the bottom of the hill.

Now, it is through prayer,

and faith,

and common ground,

that we will climb back up.

To reach the top again,

we must stop being so cynical.

We must stop seeing the worst.

We must stop putting down,

the home we live in.

America is our home.

We live here.

Our state is our house.

Our state laws are our house rules.

Our country, from sea to shining sea, is our yard.

We must represent and be proud of our home.

We must want to say,

'Hey... It's not perfect, but it's my home'.

We must stop being so selfish.

We must have and keep that mindset.

No... We cannot fall any further.

Nevertheless...

We can be satisfied with not falling anymore,

and we can stay down,

or we can work to climb out of the pit.

It can only get better.
