Approaching the great reset,
World leaders feeling dread and regret.
Man-made viruses,
The sheep continuing to be mislead,
Who believes what the newsreader said.
Our new, happy life,
Stole that title from 1985.
Sorry wrong year, meant 1984,
This world, does anyone actually adore?
Nothing ever changed,
Society just got more deranged.
Birds flapping around in a metal cage,
Will the last page be of peace or pure rage?

The later before the former.
Exactly.
Something a bit batty about the same author who has talking animals - Animal Farm - methinks! lol.
Yes indeed.
Well, I have a talking dog, so I say - Fido, who checks the poems and barks at anyone who 'forgets' to mark poems 18+ when they should be. I'm batty as Orwell. lol.
I need to read some more tonight and maybe watch the film, haha,
