You Are
You're the tree that stands so tall
You're the artist that paints the wall
With intricate lines in radiant oils
A visionary story full of spoils
You're the perfect cold night breeze
Cooling tempers if you please
Whispering in the silence with refreshing ease
Changing the tides with pleasantries
You're the earth so round and sure
Facilitating life in every corridor
Replenishing yourself after every war
You remain unfazed like the ocean floor
You're the light that bestows the dawn
Ever glistening for those who mourn
A beacon of hope to be adorned
Smiling down on those forlorn
You're the rain that cries a river
Emotionally sensitive but never bitter
Pouring your love on all that withers
An elixir of life to be savoured
You're the fire with flames of gold
Mysterious, deadly, when uncontrolled
Warming the heart to gently unfold
A true love, a glory to behold
