It's No Different

Just like that, I thought things were going to be different, but in the end they are all the same,

This is a major part of my life, even though to you it is only a game.

You don’t know who I am, and you have no idea about the things that I have been through,

And you may not understand, but there is a reason why I do the things that I do.

To be honest, I really don’t care anymore if no one else understands,

Because you know that your future is in your own hands.

You try so hard to be a light and to let your past die,

But everyday it just seems like you are surviving, and it feels as if you are just getting bye.

Everyday you put a smile on your face, even though you are dying on the inside,

And you power through what you need to do, but most days you just want to run and hide.

You know that is what they all expect you to do,

And they want to bring you down, so they just keep reminding you of everything that you have 

been through.

Everyday you wake up, and you tell yourself that you are going to try again,

And that since you are struggling so much, you know that this isn’t the end.

But everyday you feel yourself falling apart a little bit more,

And you keep telling yourself that you can’t give up, but sometimes you are also struggling to 

remember what it is that you are even fighting for.

Because everytime you allow yourself to feel a little happy, it all seems to fall apart,

And with every disappointment, it seems to take a little piece of your heart.

You decide every day to wake up and fight just one more time,

Because you know that your resilience is something that is hard to find.

As much as it seems like everything is coming to an end, you know things have only just begun,

And even though it feels like it’s over, you know that your story is far from done.

Even though sometimes you feel like you failed,

You also know that your ship has just started to set sail.

Remember when you want to quit, that you have a story to inspire generations to come,

And they won’t know where you are going, but they will all know where you came from.
