Awkward (and queer)

Weep little lion girl

I am not here

I am not here

I am not real

I am a symbol, art,

Something to be analysed

I long to glow, to be ethereal

Though I know what I am,

An earth worm or worse,

A teenager

Awkward and queer

Uncomfortable and insecure

Unsure of who or what I am or want to be

    touching indeed.
    but, fight we must.
if we don't fight, what chance do we have?

This touches close to home because many including me remember in our teen years we felt somewhat this way. You've touched a common chord and that is what poetry is all about.
