alone

it’s a rainy day,
the sun decided to run away
it left me all alone
with only me and my boredom

the tv has gone all static
so i’m looking at the window,
some drink to bury my sorrow
one too many for this week

i could go out, jump in a puddle
if only there had been someone
but alas ! i’m on my own
with no one after to cuddle
