Lately

cofhypieces

its been five years now

And its like you never cross my mind

But you do

it's like a fixture on a fitting

The passing of time

Depreciating my fears

Giving me a name

Giving me a face

It's like pain in my abdomen

A voice that hunts me

The world is noisy

I try to still the voice that mocks me

One that tells me he ain't coming again

And I know this voice belongs to you

O great ally of the past

You are never a necessity

But when I think of what lies ahead

Am forced to think of what's behind

And you happen to be exactly there

You see, I know my world

And am living in it

And I know when something isn't right

Yet are true,

lately
