CHUKWUEMEKA

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke

Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.

I have come a long way,
Hustling and tussling the way,
I have seen shege and shegu,
But shegenchi keeps staring at me.

Life, not a bed of roses,
Fate has never been fair,
Ego turns man up and down,
What a life!

If you are birthed a man,
Your neck bears the cross,
Responsibility a call,
The journey of man, comes with sweat.

I have come a long way,
To tell my tales,
of bachelorhood,
I have over grown the age.

I need a soulmate,
Not a bed mate,
To complement my vision,
Before I stuck in confusion.

Loneliness dwells in my abode,
Soon grey hairs will mock me,
For not finding a helpmeet,
Marriage a blissful institution.

I will marry when I want;
a folktale,
Marriage is calling,
Who will be my bride?
