WORRIES

Qurrathul Ain

Notice of absence from Qurrathul Ain
I'm taking a break for a while, for no specific reason. Maybe because, I don't get as much inspirations as I used to.

I haven't lost hope yet,

Not now, not ever,

It's like holding a fistful of sand,

My faith falling,

Every passing minute.

But isn't real faithfulness,

When we believe,

When we mustn't?

At times I'm afraid,

Too scared to even share,

About whatever I'm too afraid to bear,

Of what's waiting at the bay.

Terrified of thinking,

If the silent ocean,

Will bring its mighty waves,

Crashing on me.

Or, if the sun will rise from the horizon,

Or will I be left in the darkness forever,

Without a thing to hold onto,

Not a star, nor a moon,

Left alone on one side,

While every other person,

Have crossed over to the other side.

A wonderfully cathartic write my friend. Yoi believe you are the only ones with these worries, so strong are they, but once you let it all out, you find you are not alone. A very good write!
