If today?

Maplespal

if the day was to end and everyone was to die

would there be any beings left behind to cry?

would there be a note left to explain our demise?

would all the satellites fall from the skies?

if we all were to die at the end of the day

would the animals change their future way?

would they know what happened this day?

would they eat our bodies as they decay?

if the day was to end and we all were to die

would anyone know the reasons why?

would anyone understand and say a goodbye?

if the day was to end and everyone was to die.

I don't know the answer to this one but we wouldn't know. A question to puzzle over. I guess a lot of dogs and cats would go hungry.

Excellent question. If today we were to die, I think nature would heave a big sigh. We are all but transient on this earth, but earth will survive long after we are gone. A very reflective poem my friend.
