Price of life

Dan Williams

promises never intended to be kept

heard at weak logic’s promontory

funicular lies expressed in

loud whispering of an amateur alienist

bartered for stolen nightshade concoction

a little of which helps

a lot can which can kill

misspelling cryptic name on random headstone

reminds that the price of life is death

says the sad sack president

not really meaning it at all

A tangle of words covering shining truth. Loved the line "the price of life is death" Yes indeed it is no one gets out of this life alive. Well written
