Everyone Dies Twice

jaxolotlPoems

Everyone dies twice.

We first die when we realize.

Realize the need for change.

The need to stop our crimes.

The need to finally realize,

What life truly is.

Realizing that no one, no matter who they are wins.

Realizing that your personal gain is lame.

Realizing that you can try your best and never make it.

Realizing that some things aren’t possible even if you put your mind to it.

Realizing that life is just a game.

A game that every human loses to.

But, not every human cherishes.

A game that every human concedes.

But, not every human keeps fighting.

A game that all humans play.

But, not every human plays.

Then, the last death.

Is when you resign.

Is when you rest.

Is when you stop thinking.

And start finally living.
