Destiny of Lovers

EmaHarlan

Amidst the realm where shadows lie,

The ocean weeps, the trees sigh,

Beneath a moon that courts the sky,

Stars whisper tales of love gone by.

The sun, concealed, grows fierce and bright,

 Burning hot, hidden from sight,

The sky darkens, clouds descend,

A storm of tears, no end.

Buildings fall, screams fill the night,

Letters from the moon, written in light,

A bond mismatched, threads entwined,

Destined for yellow, why silver lined?

Time halts, the moon awakes,

Stars kiss the earth, the ground quakes,

The moon pushes stars away, cries for the sun,

In a different realm, their sorrow begun.

Worlds apart, trapped in night and day,

Never to meet, never to stay,

Yet stars align, a cosmic play,

An eclipse forms, love finds its way.
