The Song of the Willow Birds

Tala-Derbas

The bird of the willow tree sits tight apon it’s nest

eagerly waiting for it’s time to rest, although it’s heart races as though it would fly out of its chest

It’s sings a song filled with agony and sorrow

As it hopes to see a bright future waiting in the unknown tomorrow

Sleeping so peacefully only to be raided by beasts not strong but sly waiting apon their feast

Not a single tree, or nest was left to their owners

All that was left were dead bodies and mourners

Baby birds crying to gain help from those who are around, but little did they know it was like they did not even utter a sound

Joy ,happiness and smiles died that day, yet the willow birds found hope through a tiny bright ray

As they were sitting on the last standing willow tree they thought and dreamt of how it is to be free
