What is your Someone

I’m so lonely sometimes that it hurts

I just want to know what it means...

To have someone there for you

Someone who listens

Someone who cares

Someone who loves you on such an intimate level that you see yourself in them

Someone who will be strong when you just can’t that day

Who will wipe your tears,

Hold and say it’s ok

Someone who shows off

Especially when you’re having a good time

Someone who shows the world that I’m yours and you’re mine

Someone who takes pride in you

And thanks you for all you do

Someone who fights with you

But refuses to not spend the night with you

Someone who’s willing to work it out

Especially when it’s hard and you’re both full of doubt

Someone who pursues you cause there’s just no other way

That he can pretend you aren’t the best part of his day

Someone to see the parts of me that hurt

and the parts that show my true worth

Someone who wants a lifetime

Because we fit together like this rhyme.
