Between Clouds
it’s a dog’s life
isn't it ..
well at least it is
for some of us ..
however,
you just allowed
a little ray of
sunlight to creep
in and play
around the edges
of an
otherwise
grey day through
a small gap
between clouds ..

If I asked Satuit he'd howl at me in agreement. πΊπ
I am sure you have him well trained so no worries on that score ππ
N you've got that backwards, he's got ME trained. π«€

A surprisingly brief encounter can sometimes linger in memory and lighten other longer social relations.
Got me recalling now, Neville
Glad to be of service & any how, one good turn & all that jazz .. π
A poem that is beautifully kind against a cloudy setting. Nicely said Neville
Many thanks indeed .. N
Good write N.
thank you Orchidee .. much appreciated .. Neville
Overcast with bits of sunshine, sounds like a forecast for life. We all need to enjoy the bits more to overcome the gray clouds.
A poem that shows how personal bits of sunshine can salvage an otherwise dismal day. Loved it. - Phil A
You have an uncanny eye sir Fences .. and that is one heck of a compliment & thank you all rolled into one .. Neville
Makes me think of morning walks, sky clouded over and the feeling of seeing a tiny chink in the clouds with a glimpse of bright sunlight. I love the metaphor and the sentiment it invokes.
I think you just sourced my inspiration Bella .. Many thanks for seeing it my way my friend .. Neville
Oh those glimpses of sunlight that brighten a cloudy day, they do give such a lift donβt they Neville? My dog Solo has a very happy life. I guess itβs because she is content with her lot. We all need a little sunshine in a cloudy world. A lovely read.
they are marvels aren't they Cassie .. those infrequent and unexpected golden glimpses .. dogs too of course .. I think content is probably the most underused and undervalued word we have .. it is also one of the most elusive and probably my favourite .. many thanks for the gift you have left here for me ..
Excellent work.
Cheers Thomas
