Wild and Ready

Tristan Robert Lange

Invalidated by validation,
The evaluator knows magic,
Their words spell-cast outward
In fractal daggers of poison.

Listeners do the talking,
While the voiceless listen
To them drone on and on
With insincere platitudes.

Who assesses the assessor?
Who can break the silence
That has been taught
To the children of slaves?

Rise up, fair eagle!
Rise up on the wind,
Wild and ready
For the coming storm.

A call to action this poem invokes paradoxical lines to emphasize why action is needed. A moving and powerful write.
