My Words, My Love, My Promise

Cocamedo

My words, my love, my promise dear,
I wanted you to know
Sometimes I feel myself shut down,
it’s tough to not let show.

I keep you as a reminder,
when weathering the storm.
That having you placed in my life,
is luck in every form.

Forever I’m entranced by you,
with every word or gaze.
No this isn’t just an accident,
nor just a passing phase.

I’ll always keep the late night talks
and sitting in your car.
Our hands, they slowly graze each other
underneath the stars

Terrified of being wrong,
I prayed you wont reject
Then asking me to speak my mind
and always be direct.

I’m glad I spilled my heart out, dear
And every ounce within it.
My love it grows, the roots run deeper
Every passing minute

So please forgive me, when it’s time
In moments I am weak
And don’t you dare forget the sun
When days are looking bleak

For you, I would do anything
To show you I am honest
I never will give up on us
My words, my love, my promise.
