Veil of Words

EmotionsOnwhitepaper

You said it was different
You said it’s also new
You said I assured you
But who thought it was just some love flu

Days passed by, many nights went
You said not to get attached
I found myself reminiscing in that thought
You said it was different, in what way I recollect

We talked so much
Sometimes through words
And Sometimes through silence
I felt comfortable in that place,
You said it was all new
But I lost myself in that familiar space

Moments were meant, things moved
We got closure, I thought
But you said it might, not be so true
You said I assured you, and one side started to grew

You shared things, but you didn’t share this
I asked, and u shuffled it
Saying u making some shit, “It doesn’t concern you”
You said it was different, you said it was new
But In the end, I wasn’t able to assure you

You return to the room alone
You faked everything, but it was fake, I knew
I again asked, but u said I shouldn’t concern myself with a person like you
You said it was different,
But why did this made you remember the past, it wasn’t new

You never discussed the past,
Whenever you mentioned it, your hand shivered
Painful? I never asked
You said it was different,
You kept it all to yourself,

It ended, I still felt something heavy beneath the chest
You said some harsh words
But all I saw, a Scared girl,
Who didn’t want to repeat the dark set

Someone who wanted to tell something
But she is afraid that it might hurt her again
She stood up from the mud,
But she didn’t have the power to get lost in that mud again

Now I am standing here, lost and confused
I have a question,
But can’t ask, because of the things I drew
Thinking, one last time, “Can I talk to you?”

A story of longing for closeness and confusion over words not said. A most interesting read.
