I'm Selfish, I suppose.

Thoughtless

It's selfish to love you, I suppose.
You, so full of life and energy, outshining the sun and more beautiful than a lover's moon.
Your voice a song, your movements a love poem, you are to be shared.
I want you but you're on the stage. So, I'll exit for now.
Go scatter your notes over your fans. I loved our time together.

I wrote this in response to knowing friends of mine that are in the industry and their struggle and how families' struggle with balance.

A Certain singing artist comes to mind, who ever she is you just put her on a pedastal. Absolutely beautiful poem. 🌹

There is someone. I haven't seen her for years. I remember her kissing me when I least expected it. Thanks for your astute observation.
