With Wings of Freedom

rrodriguez

The dawn was calm,
only a whisper was heard,
a heart was unchained,
freeing itself from the passion that drove it mad,
from invisible chains that held it back,
to fly beyond and simply be what it wanted.

No longer tied to the shadows of the past,
the spirit opens its wings and flies,
in fields of green pastures, it moves endlessly,
lifting its flight to the infinite blue.

The weight of the years does not stop it,
it rises higher than the eagles of the field,
its journey begins and its path evolves,
with each step, its soul transforms.

Through deep valleys and high mountains,
it enjoys the freedom that never ends,
in the fresh air it breathes, it gives a thunderous cry,
because now it lives unbound,
where the spirit is free to fly higher than it ever could.
