Liberate

RefugeInRain

I'm not making room anymore,

not for you,

and not for your fear.

I'll let Light into my heart,

and dispel all the dark.

I'll watch it all disappear.

I'm done showing my belly,

and running to hide.

I'm done running in circles,

just to run till I die.

I won't let you control me,

or scare me too death.

Your fear, poison in my veins,

but the cure I inject.

Standing one's ground strongly stated in this poem. It is a statement of defiance against oppression.
