A Proposal of Questions

Petrichor of Love

The brooks nestle with grace

merging into a river with a gentle flow,

The moon illumines the heavenly face,

using a gleam in the night's glow.

Yet why not me and you, my maiden?

why not our fervours' propensity show?

Behold how the moon rays interlace

with the earth in a silvered hue,

and see how the Gales interlace

and whisper the magic that they pursue

then why not me and you, my maiden?

Why does the essence of our love not imbue?

See how those peaks kiss the skies above

that the stars extoll in their astral dance

with birds singing the songs of love

whose melodies knit a divine romance.

But why not me and you, my maiden?

Why not give our hearts a chance?

The Heavens yearn to meet the shore

and rains yearn to satiate the thirst they seek,

See how flowers bloom for women to adore

which would embellish her enigmatic mystique

But why not me and you, my maiden?

Why shall not our souls speak?

If Nature’s elements find their way

to bless our union, hand in hand,

then let's put our love on display

that would beautify our relation grand

For I am yours, and you are mine, my maiden

and let this minstrelsy of our love expand.
