Black Sheep

Bame Bame

I am what I am for a reason
They overlook my purpose, but I’m here for a season
Vilified for being different
Only accepted based on their own interest
Greatness comes from a complete disconnect with the status Quo
But every time I tried, the society told me no

They spent years praying for a miracle
The idea of me being the answer seemed horrible?
They tore down the very thing that came to build them
I stood right there with a destiny to handle
They decided to blow out the candle
I had so much to say
Their lives would have been better if only they listened to it
My life turned out different from the way I envisioned it

Treated like an outcast
I put them first, they showed me why I am always last
Bullied into silence
The remedy was distance
Painfully derided in my presence
Harshly judged for my absence
They continued their quest for a miracle When will they ever see?
That miracle came in the form of Me

Narcissistic, egotistical maybe we all are such at some level and when our needs do not meet those of those around us the stronger prevail. I hear prejudice and being used in this piece. The emotion comes through strongly. Nicely done
