You

Michael William Reid

As I lay here quietly i hear you breathe

My arms around you, and I believe

Our hearts once entwined then torn apart

Might be ready to embrace a brand new start

Lives lead down two separate paths

Diverged before they doubled back

I feel electricity as I hold you close to me

Eyes once closed now open to see

Your skin, your touch, your lips your face

I love them all as my pulse starts to race

Throughout my life you've been there, my queen

The most wonderful woman I've ever seen

So I write this for my queen and best friend

If I could stop time itself this night would never end
