Goodbye
The final piece
of my life’s puzzle
is being put into place,
But how do I say goodbye?
Do I need to apologize
for all those scars
I will truly leave behind?
And forgive the ones
given to me,
that I always tried to hide.
Is there an easy way,
Please, tell me
just how do I say
Goodbye?

Why create a moment just to please someone else's ears.
The speaker is dying and struggling on how to say goodbye. In reality the speaker is trying to please himself in his last moments of life.
