Of Fire And Lambs

mtrotter1

Do I need permission

To get you an esquire?

Shall I burn your cat on fire?

For your cat is an evil silence

Staring right into my soul,

I cry at the day's evening

For I will never burn your cat on fire--

For it is the reckoning of the lambs that cease!

Behold my heart, deliver my soul

Deliver my soul unto thee;

For you have my heart, silver and gold

No other blind rose shall see;

And one day you shall see my heart, for what it is

For I praise you to the skies above!

For no other sinner is love--

Kill my bosoms with a sword

For you have my heart,

Of fire and lambs I must go.

Oh what is a narcissistic rose without a match?

Watch the wicked roses burn,

I burn for your love....

Of fiery lambs I must confess

The presence of your love so near,

For I feel closer to you already

The warm bed sheets of despair!

Oh love on me, you fiery lamb

For we are both lambs in the field

Past or present, future or near

I must go wherever you go;

Of fire and lambs

We are free,

Let the boldness take over our revelry!

Shiny eyes seek no demise

Just the naked rose inside--

A part of me has died inside

What revelry shall we fear now?

For the beauty of a poet is rage!

I define your beautiful,

For your beautiful is defined;

Shall death again be mine?
