Walking through the park
The morning sunlight
Captures a cloud of midges
Blocking the path.
Birdsong and chatter echoes through the trees,
And pigeons flutter among the rowan's red berries.
A gentle breeze rustles the yellow green leaves
And a solitary seagull watches for picnic remnants
Or a stray fish from the pond
Hiding amongst the water lilies and weeds
