I AM A WOMAN

kwrites

I AM A WOMAN,

I AM A TOY...

AND I COME IN A BOX

I PRETEND TO BE DUMB...

OR I COULD BE CALLED A FOX.

MY SMILE WAS STICHED...

THE MINUTE I WAS BORN...

I HAD NO IDEA I HAD TO DO THIS FOREVER

 NOR WAS I WARNED.

I AM TAUGHT TO FOREVER GIVE ...

GOD KNOWS WHEN I WILL BE TAUGHT TO LIVE...

I KNOW HOW TO LOVE... BUT JUST NOT MYSELF

BECAUSE A WOMAN IS ALL ... BUT HERSELF.

MY LIFE IS A PLAY

AND I PLAY A FLY

I HAVE AN AUDIENCE

EACH OF WHOM IS A SPY.

SOMETIMES I AM WORSHIPPED AS A GODDESS...

SOMETIMES I AM CALLED A WHORE...

ALL OF IT...

JUST BECAUSE I WAS LIVING LIFE A BIT MORE...

I THOUGHT I WAS BORN TO BE A QUEEN IN THE GAME...

TURNS OUT I AM JUST A SPAWN ...

WHO SHOULD FOREVER STAY IN HER LANE.

I AM STRUGGLING...

TO BUILD MY POWER AND TO SPREAD MY ESSENCE...

FOR I LIVE IN A WORLD...

THAT IS STILL LEARNING TO HONOR MY PRESENCE...

HOWEVER,

DESPITE ALL THE DISPUTES...

MY STRENGTH IS MY SONG ...

AND SO, IT WILL BE FOREVER LIFE- LONG ...

IN THE END...

MAY MY JOURNEY BE KINDER ....

AND BURDENS BE LIGHT...

AS I FORGE AHEAD INTO A FUTURE SO BRIGHT ...

A great write about the paradoxes and inconsistencies of life as a woman or just a person for that matter.
