Abode of God

rebellion_in_sanity

Walking through a dessert
No shade in sight
Mirage simmer afar
An illusion of respite

Failure is the norms
No one to pat your back
Dragging yourself every day
Dignity is all you have

Friends and foes,
They are the same
When chips were down
They ran away

Calling out to God
On your knees,
God help me through
This pain and misery

Prayers echo in silence
No one answers your call
Has God left you?
Was he ever there at all?

Losing your senses,
Engulfed in a grey haze,
You notice a faint light
Like flickering light of the last rays

Someone spoke to you
Through the flickering light
'It's your Dignity
Where God resides'
