We Don't Need Kings and Queens

rebellion_in_sanity

You blessed a frog
He became the King
You blessed a lizard
She became the Queen

You were asked to choose
Where no choice could be made
You were just a pawn
In a mindless game

March with your brothers
Towards a new day
The day will arrive
But for you, will it be better in any way?

They swore to serve us
And uphold our sense of pride
Promises turned out empty
Beautifully crafted lies

Now we serve them
We acquiesce in fear
The fear of lashes drives us
We shade dry tears

Stop shedding tears
Stop doing what they say
Fear rules your soul
Throw it down the bay

Raise your voice
Ask for your dues
We do not need kings and queens
We will make them bid adieu

Absolutely - to use the term 'democracy' is a farce in most States in this world.
So all you have left is to shout at the buggers - and when enough people shout......

Thanks for your read and sharing your thoughts. Since I started voting, I have always had to choose between the lesser evil. I wish someday we could elect someone based on his / her affirmative actions and accountability.

Here is a term not heard these days : Social Justice. That is the measure against which all politicians should be judged and held to account..

A call for revolution, anarchy? Democracy too has its weakness in tyranny of the majority. Don't have the answer but certainly enjoyed the write that was clever in its mix of chess and politics.

Really appreciate your time and thoughts. It is just a wish to be able to choose someone or some political party who will not make the common people feel how common we are.
