Urbanization

Thepoetman1234

Fresh air lingering on in streets that was once freshly cut grass

The bridge was once the barrier between civilization and the paradise that was nature

but the capitalistic views of the corporate pigs turned trees in streets

Bushes into buses

Now you must understand that urbanization is good

it helps many people and businesses

but is misses the birds and the trees

for what at one point will become a commodity.

So I ask if it is worth it now

to continue the growth of concrete

for the destruction of nature

in the hope of corporate profits

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem reflects on my views on Urbanization, Especially where I live in Swindon. I Feel afraid of losing the land to concrete and its time to make a poem on my poetic side to talk about it.

I see this as well but it begs the question, what is the cause. Some say greed but I say people. Too many people. An important message here
