Shadow II

Eugene S.

A shadow can only be
When the one who is casting
Can readily
Be seen
And that's when the casting appears weak
At the mercy of the one's that be

Just an ephemeral meaning
From moment to moment
An illuminated game
When obscurity makes it's play
And evidence lightly shades
It's surroundings

When a darkened edict is made
Of the things that be
Penumbrae will show the way
Like a day full of clouds
Does diffuse stark realities

Subtlety
The shadow's way
To reveal it's authority
