The sea of dreams

sami mulaj

THE SEA OF DREAMS

The tides rock me gently,
Dreams brought by seagulls.

Like on Treasure Island,
I am an undiscovered Robin Hood.

The wings of my memories
Are broken,
And the feathers of my old hopes
Have drifted away.

The footprints of my first love
In the sand, I cannot find.
The post-sunset breeze
Has cast them onto another island.

In those footsteps,
Another Robin Hood has walked...
