Picking Flowers

Tony36

Picking flowers

Wild and free

To take them home

To give to thee

Picking wild flowers

Out of the field

Picking wild flowers

Sunflowers

Shasta daisies

Indian paintbrushes

To name a few

Picking them all

To give to you

Love flowers but have always wondered where the tradition of men giving flowers to women came from or originated. Why is it that women traditionally more artistic do not give flowers to men. ( my wife did) Loved the poem excuse my rambling thoughts.

Lovely write. I used to pick daisies, bluebells and buttercups for my mum, many years ago. You took me back in time.
