I've had quite a life
Full of drama and undue fuss
A decade-long nightmare that I have endured
Presumably for the sake of love
I've been shattered and in lack so often
That wouldn't even dare believe my luck
Though that was the case until I let you in
You helped me comprehend I've deserved all wins
You observed all my cracks and desolute shores
As if so effortlessly you've reached my soul
With you next to me, my darling, my beloved
I've gathered my pieces, and for the first time, I feel I am whole
I thought love was about losing the fight
I felt it has the power to demand our might
I followed it, though never for a moment it felt right
So now as my cart is empty since I showered away everything in my right
You show me love cares for nothing but the light in their lover's eyes
You see me as a rose when to me I am a dried petal
Your care for me shows that to you I genuinely matter
I feel deeply blessed to share my world with you
You make me so happy I almost feel new
Though everything else is infact tough to catch up on
It's like breathing to fall in love with you
