IJE UWAM (MY STORY)

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke

Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.

I have visited hell
on earth,
A homeless celebrity
Living on the streets.

Years of shameful situations
Under the scorching sun
And the mocking rain
I became a laughing stock.

None came to my aid,
My condition
like that of Job,
I was recklessly abandoned.

My village people
wrote me off,
I was a living dead,
Begging death to visit me.

Omega Power Ministry
came to my aid,
Doctor Jesus in action,
Today a living testimony.

I'm now a house owner,
Like a folktale,
It became a true tale
Chukwu Okike
Has found me worthy.

I longed for a companion
Who will love me forever,
Though many have punctured
my ego,
Today, many are begging
To honey and daddy me.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem reflects on life challenges that visit a man. The persona a Nigerian celebrity, but unfortunately life turns him up and down. He lives in a state of depression, waiting for his last breathe when God located him through a man of God in OPM. Life is dicey.

A happy ending to a sad story. Nicely written
