Sister to sister

Glasswing

Sister to sister, we've been through thick and thin. We've cried and wiped each other's eyes, laughed and argued over the stupidest things sometimes. But at the end of the day, we've always been partners in crime.

Sister to sister, you'll never fully understand how much I love and admire you. You've spent your life protecting us from things you needed protection from too. You were forced to take on a parental role for kids you didn't even birth, all because Mom and Dad didn't recognize our worth.

Sister to sister, I am truly thankful for you being a mother, father, and best friend to me. When I reflect on the things you did, no matter how seemingly small they could have been, I can't help but feel that having you then and now in my life is a significant win.

So sister to sister, daughter to mother, daughter to father, and best friend to best friend, I'm sending this poem to you to express that I will unconditionally love you until the very end.
