Sitting near the Ancient Woods

Petrichor of Love

I sit near the greenish ancient woods
where fluffy rabbits happily roam
and trudge their ways in nature's brood
to feel the echoes of her soul in her home;
Where earth and sky sublimely coalesce as one
as my derelict heart relaxes under the sun.

Under the meadows of the fields so green
I catch a glimpse of the nature's grace
The grass swaying to the winds serene
kindling the rhythms that nature does praise
followed by a silence, to this sweet strife
offering some solace to my quiet life.

The rabbits rush to the river, crystal clear
that reflects the azure of the cloudless sky
The water serenely sways which feels so dear
forming a soothing symphony, never to die
where vagrants seek refuge from the cruel din
to find their sought-before solace in.

Alongside, the fragrant gardenias jovially blossom
that perfume the air with sweetness so rare,
whilst being kissed often by the light of the Sun
as a testament to nature's gentle care
beneath whose hues, I find a mirror
to the oceans of fervour that draws me nearer.

Cometh the sparrows with their spirits high
chirping with excitement and glee
painting the canvas of the azure sky
with the colours of their joys, wild and free.
As Nature keeps them all in its breast
longing more for what's beyond its quest.

And as I continue to witness this scene,
I feel a kindred of earth and sky
as that of oneness with nature so serene
as if it were provoking me to defy
the shackles of my derelict mortality,
and find my truest relation with destiny.

And how I wish to stay in this place
as everything here is so serene and bright
where nature holds everyone in its embrace
and fills my weary soul with muse and delight
for here amid the Eternals of the Earth,
I catch a glimpse of Heaven's divine worth.

But the world is beyond this serene shade
as time calls me with its tireless cries
and though I longed to here be stayed
yet my duty asks me to say goodbyes.
In my rhymes, this place will forever be
as long as I can breathe and my eyes can see.
