Dim light

Fanita530

In the silence, where shadows fall,
A love that flickers, barely a call.
You came to me, in quiet despair,
But where’s the warmth, the love we share?

I search for signs, a tender embrace,
But all I find is a hollow space.
Plain words, just texts, devoid of light,
No spark, no fire, not even slight.

I wonder, should I walk away?
Before the tears, before I stray?
Yet something holds, a fragile thread,
A love I fear may soon be dead.

You don't see the storm inside,
The doubts, the fears, I try to hide.
If you cared, would you not fight,
To turn this dark into bright light?

But here I stand, alone in this,
Longing for a tender kiss.
I love you still, but with a sigh,
I fear this love is a fleeting high.

So here I ponder, heart in hand,
Should I stay, or should I stand?
For love should never feel this cold,
A story of warmth is yet untold.

Some great lines accompanied by great rhyme and rhythm in this poem of lost love. Nicely done
