Like a breath about to be released,
A tear welling up,
A word about to be spoken,
or the final note of a song
played so softly its almost unheard.
A page about to be turned,
a whisper lost in the breeze.
the silence.
That moment before the sun wakes
when the earth breathes in

I think you have captured the essence of poetry in this. Lovely
If a picture is worth a thousand words, a good poem is worth more than a thousand pictures.
When the entire earth holds its breath.... that single moment opening up to the brightest dawn in our lives.
That single moment stretches too long as I believe I am in that phase of life.
