Rejection

mtrotter1

I don't want to fall in love,

For falling in love is too hard!

Why can't I just be alone

For the rest of my life?

My thoughts are too dangerous for thee

For as soon as I see my lover

I am highly disappointed

For hearts rage like living lunatics

Embarking on a marvelous journey

Oh how dare you reject me

When I rejected you first?

Well throw in the towel

And let it burn

Let's not play this game of cat and mouse anymore

Though I enjoy the attention

I rage at your lapel

Your sappy silky love bomb

Is about to explode

And I, for one, am a living testimony

To the love that is inside

So please leave me senseless

In a house of cards

We are one for the books

Incredibly deflating is your ego

In the midst of an argument

I will never forget

The love that you bring,

For the love that you bring is toxic

For toxic lovers never die

In the fire of the flame

Let it be my rose that yearns for more

Shall it ever be so common?

And I see your burning lapel

As I wish you well

For rejection is a hell of a drug

As I let you slip

From under the rug

For temptation is burning, yeah?

Temptation is burning all over the place

I hope to see you in hell,

For hell is a place of torment

Do you agree?
