Sleepless

That first night alone, my future was hard to tell,

getting everything gathered for next days hell.

That one thing needed to finalize your untimely death,

even though you no longer breath in any breath.

It was a set list with specific options to select.

ID cards, passport, health number I had to collect.

Reconfirmed your wishes reviewing your will,

lawyer, church, and grave to get done still.

My love that list of things I had to painfully gather,

it included information on your mother and father.

Your sister called, it was hard, we broke down and cried.

Found the coroner’s business card, phone number identified.

Your birth certificate, vehicle registration and some more.

It was easy with all the information gathered from before.

That time you were robbed, and we got things renewed,

your logic was to be prepared and never again be screwed.

Before the night became too late, some emails were made.

I failed to get in contact with all your friends I am afraid.

Your sister offered to inform the rest of your family for me,

she will pass the information on where the funeral will be.

The tomb stone ordered with a personal loving note,

“Your tune will be forever lovingly missed” I wrote.

All these papers collected for one person to have signed.
