Solitude

Dayena

My heart yearns for the secret closet, Where I ponder His holy Precept; Green pasture restores my timid soul, And the stream of waters makes me whole.

I do not want to leave this place, Where I behold Your glorious face; When bowing down to the sacred ground, I hear a little, gentle sound.

Let me remain in this place, At Your feet in peace and solace; Keep me under Jesus' blood, And feed me with Your living Word.

This piece has many biblical words and familiar wordings. It reads well and feels scriptural.
